by Makar,![]() A hacks.ini has been released for the 4.1U and 4.1E system menu's. The can be downloaded in the Preloader guide here - http://www.yafaze.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=137 Note: If you just recently updated through Nintendo to 4.1, you do not have to reinstall IOS60 patched if you had it installed. If you don't remember if you installed it or not, it is safe to reinstall it. Source

| by Makar, Conanac has released a application (named "Turnip") that can show you what Tom Nook (from Animal Crossing Wii) will offer to buy your turnips each day. It is done by checking your game save (after you have bought turnips) from an SD Card. It shows the prices for each day/time from the time you buy them to the time they get rotten. It also provides the user with a derived or add-on game (a game that some or all of its inputs come from other game data) which uses those turnip prices information. For more information, look at the source. My Opinion - I don't play Animal Crossing anymore, but if I did would really love to try this. Source | ||

by Makar.![]() ![]() The new Nintendo Power magazine features an overview of this years E3. Here is what they said about the new Legend of Zelda for Wii: "Nintendo made some big announcements at its E3 press conference, but one of the biggest came at a media briefing with Shigeru Miyamoto, held after the first day of the show: the unveiling of an all-new Legend of Zelda game for Wii, Granted, the game might not be out until after 2010, and all Nintendo had to show was one illustration, but any new Zelda is a cause for celebration. Nintendo representatives wouldn't confirm who the mysterious female character behind Link is, but her head sure is pointy- kinda like a sword-and her unique robes and belt have some sword-hit-like properties. Miyamoto emphasized that he wants Zelda games to create personalized memories of the experience with each player, especially where dungeons and puzzles are concerned. Additionally, Sport Reseort might be a lot like how those activities are handled in the next Zelda game; it's even possible that the next Wii Zelda will be played exclusively with the Wii MotionPlus accessory. Hopefully we won' have to wait long to find out more." - Chris Hoffman, Senior Editor. My Opinion: Although Link is not wearing a Sword of anykind in the picture, I don't think that female character is anywhere close to being a sword. Source - Nintendo Power Magazine

Posted By Nickgio![]() UAE is a famous Amiga emulator ported to the Wii. UAE Wii can be found on googlecode at uae-wii.googlecode.com, and is based on the source code of E-UAE. It allows you to play Stunt car racer, Turrican, Midwinter and the other good old Amiga games on your Wii. The port uses SDL Wii. Configuration: UAE is very configurable, so take some time to lookup how the configuration file format works. There are three configuration files, uaerc, uaerc.saved and uaerc.user. A lot of configuration options are configurable from the menu system, and UAE wii will save the current configuration as uaerc.saved if something has been changed. The contents of this file will override the defaults in uaerc, and the contents of uaerc.user (optional) will override both other configuration files. The menu support allows selecting which amiga model to emulate. When switching model, UAE wii will try to load a matching kickstart image and thereafter reset the computer. If the kickstart is not found, it will keep the current, but remember that this might not give you a functioning Amiga. The model/kickstart mapping is as follows: * A1000: uae/roms/amiga-os-120.rom / uae/roms/kick12.rom * A500: uae/roms/amiga-os-130.rom / uae/roms/kick13.rom * A600: uae/roms/amiga-os-205.rom / uae/roms/kick205.rom * A1200: uae/roms/amiga-os-310.rom / uae/roms/kick31.rom Changelog: * Correct banner showing errors. With this fix, a dialogue box is now opened if kick.rom is missing * Support Cloanto's amiga forever ROMs in the default config Download Source

Posted By Nickgio![]() Wolfenstein 3D and Spear of Destiny are now up to version 1.3 About the release: * Adlib (synthesized) sound and music now work 100%. I want to thank Tantric for his work on the SDL port for the wii. The SDL_Sound code is awesome! * I've done a little tweaking with the IR turning. I've added a "DeadZone" variable to the engine which discards input from the controller if it is a certain amount of pixels from the center of the screen (this number is customizable in the misc options menu). The idea behind this is that turning your character using the wiimote doesn't appear so sensitive and jerky. Thanks Arikado for this idea. * Fixed the typo in the cheat menu, Thanks Roobix. Important note on multiple game versions: Each version of the game needs the engine compiled for that specific version. If you download Wolfenstein 3D using the Homebrew Browser you will be getting the shareware version of the game. If you own the full game, please go to this project's sourceforge page and download the version compiled for the full version game. Copy your game files that end in WL6 to the folder that your boot.dol is in. Also, if you own Spear of Destiny you need to download the Spear of Destiny game engine from the sourceforge page and copy your game files to that folder. I'm trying to merge all three engines into one but it will take quite a bit of rewrite so I've been putting it off. Controls: Wolfenstein 3D and Spear of Destiny support wiimote in a sideways configuration, wiimote + nunchuk, and gamecube controller style controls. These interfaces are selectable in game with classic controller being an option for a later date (if I ever buy one :) ) Download Source
