The Burton's New Life

8/9/2008 - O.k so we are still alive!

Hey there

O.k I did officially give up on my Blog site, no photos, no messages, this year has been soooo busy and it's been one of those things.

But as I sit one week (hopefully) away from having our second baby, yes can u believe it! I thought it's probably a good time to get back to it and get photos/videos etc going!

Quick update...

Dave moved to Melbourne in February to take over running a new store of his bosses, he came over without Mia and I for eight weeks before we shifted over. He's done really well and was planning on being here till March next year till his boss asked us to return early!

Me, I stayed in Victor Feb- April did my last placement, was 12 - 20 weeks pregnant during that time, I know I only got through on God's strength, it was a flippin exhausting time! Mia loved spending lots of time with her Olma and Papa (My mum and dad - we moved in with them!) and they were an amazing support!

So after that - off to Melbourne we came!

So in the last six months - I've grown fatter, Mia has grown taller and really into such a strong little girl! Most of the time she's good tho she gives us grief when it comes to bed time but we'll get there!

We've loved having quality time with our best mates, Di, Pete and Ella (Ella and Mees are the best of mates - even tho Mia bosses her around!) and seeing Corey and Kate and Lucy and Maddy, that's been wonderful. Plus reconnecting with old friends!

BUT it's back to Victor Harbor, in 4 weeks time! So bubs will be very young and we still have nowhere to live but God provides, always has, always does!

And we are finally in the last steps before our house slab goes down, Yeah! Praise Jesus!

Sooo that's the lot for now!

27/1/2008 - Time flies..

Well yes it's been awhile again since I last posted.

Quick update, Christmas was lovely - really busy. New Years was great - had friends over and had a lovely time.

January has already been a really interesting month with Dave being asked to transfer and being promoted to Melbourne ... whew. So that's keeping us really busy, making moving plans, looking after Mia of course and I have hospital placement commencing in Feb. I got ICU for my placement so I'm really looking forward to that!

So a really quick post - just to those who read this :P

Write again soon I promise x

16/12/2007 - Merry Christmas To all!

Hi All!

Its been sooo long since I've written I'd seriously considered not writing any more but I thought! No don't give up just don't be slack! So here I am with an update of the last few months!

In short, firstly Mia.. she's just mad and still makes us laugh sooo hard. She is just such a great little girl who is learning heaps, her language is changing daily (not bad words of course - only sound like them by accident LOL!) She's pretty affectionate and if you hurt yourself she'll be the first to pat you better and ask if your o.k, after giving you a kiss better of course. Think she has the Nursing gene in her! Both Mia and myself have really relished my 'not studying' time while I'm on break from Uni and have been able to just have some great hang out time, both together, catching up with friends and just the three of us as a family!

Dave is going along great. He is working really hard (though some days are like 'zzzzzz' at the store), I'm heaps proud of him becomming manager and he's really doing lots to try and get the store up and going. Even with being a manager though the level of stress if a LOT less than it used to be. He just had his birthday the other day and is looking forward to Christmas and New Years!

Me! Well I'm loving life! I've got a second job as a personal carer which I don't mind too much - it's extra money which is great for Christmas. I did really well (if I say so myself :P) on my studies and finish in August! Yes I can hear you say 'what no more study! hehe I am sooooo excited and somehow soooo overwhelmed that I will actually be a Nurse - but God will make a path just right for me - he already has, this I know! We've had some awesome time catching up with our bestest and closest friends lately and I think around Christmas you start to really appreciate them even more so! Plus I'm heaps excited to be seeing our whole family together at Christmas - and seeing my gorgeous Lucy and Maddy! Really excited about the new year and everything it'll bring! Oh and most exciting we have finally signed for our HOUSE! Yeah! It'll be a slow process - but we are in no rush!

And I am absolutely loving my Mum time with Mia - so thankful and grateful for it!

Merry Christmas and a blessed joyous New Years to everyone!

Love Dave and Em and Mia xoxoxox
