I was reading catdogs blog about a friend she has, that often years go by and they don't see each other but the friendship is always there. I have a few friends like that. May not see them for years but when you do you can almost resume the sentence you were last talking. One of mine like that is Harald and the gap this time has been too long but I don't know where he is, maybe Germany. He's not in the Australian phone book. He would turn up on my doorstep after years of no contact and usually at really bad times, like the time we were in the middle of moving but he happened to have a bad back that time so couldn't even lift a flowerpot. That was the time he slept under the kitchen table because there was no space. Where are you Harald? It's time to catch up.

And it was fantastic to see brad. I love how it's so easy with him. Then when he leaves it's not a big deal either. He just comes and goes. Fantastic.
