8/4/2008 - The Many Looks of a Darter

This beautiful bird needs no words. I found him drying out on the jetty at Pizzey park.……………………………………………………………………………While I was sitting on the ground photographing the Darter, the Corellas were making an incredible amount of noise in the pine trees on the other side of the lake.After I finished, I walked around the other side to get some closer shots. I didn't stay long as it is very dangerous with these birds flying around. They are constantly dropping pine cones and it is like missiles coming down on you.…As I turned to walk away, these gorgeous little duckings appeared in front of me.…
