1/11/2009 - Tis the Season of Giving - Halloween
This is the best time of the year particularly for non members Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas all the great holidays packed nicely into a number of months. As players should know their is an event like last year about the grim reaper and spider and bladder issues (why does grim need a toilet anyway???). Anyway I'll leave it to you to complete the event but as gifts or items you receive a cloak covered in a circular spider web, and a friendly little spider named "Eek" who thinks you (the player) are a fearless warrior who embarks on great crusades. Anyway this is the Cloak and Eek!

22/8/2009 - See you later members = economic crisis
GRAND EXCHANGE, VARROCK, WORLD 2- It was just 1 year ago that the life of a P2P player seemed perfect. Cash was flowing freely, and member items were stable. And with the creation of the Grand Exchange, the wealth of investors soared tremendously. Now, both Members and Free Players are bracing for a serious shock to hit the Exchange market. Most are expecting many member objects to crash, and many F2P objects to rise. Why? It’s simple: Less members are subscribed currently, meaning less members are buying. Some players have even cut their Internet subscription. This creates less demand, and a possible massive shock to the RuneScape Economy.
There have always been more Free-to-Play players than members, meaning that some items are more valuable if they are Free-to-Play. For example, players will pay almost 10 times the amount of a Dragon weapon for a Corrupt Dragon weapon that degrades. Why? Because Corrupt Dragon is Free-to-Play, but plain Dragon isn’t. However, with even less members placing orders in the Grand Exchange, we might well see prices sink incredibly for member objects. But with Non-member objects, investors are holding their breath, hoping for an increase in valuable Free-to-Play items like swordfish, lobster, etc. These will become the Manta Ray and Shark of RuneScape, as members switch to Free-to-Play worlds. Other items that require to be made or aquired in Member worlds may also rise, such as Green Dragonhide.
Wealth has also been decreasing for members, as they either cannot make money on Members’ servers or cannot sell their items for higher prices. One former member, Hulpul, commented on the matter. “My membership expired about a week and a half ago,” says Mr. Hulpul. “I just didn’t want to renew it. When I was a member, though, I made my 1 million gold in about 3 days off of slaying dragons. Now, I pretty much can’t do anything as profitable.” What this RuneScape millionaire says is true. Very few things in Free-to-Play worlds are as profitable as things in member worlds. A drop in total wealth is expected greatly.
However, many players doubt that membership decreases will harm the RuneScape economy. One player, Blaze1982, claims that General
Stores and monster drops will keep the Economy afloat. For instance, Rune Platebodies and Green Dragonhide Armour may be obtained from Oziarch, who has an unlimited supply. The same goes with arrows, which can be bought from a range store. But whether or not these unlimited general stores are a lifeline to the RuneScape economy entirely depends upon whether or not players buy or sell on the Grand Exchange. Most players do all their shopping at the Grand Exchange, and few are loyal to the specialty shops located around RuneScape. An entire merchanting clan, efd923, has been investing in Member objects despite the current situation.
However, one thing is for certain: during these tough times, RuneScape WILL change, and there WILL be a drop in membership subscriptions. And member items probably WILL NOT rise; most have been dropping already. Most Grand Exchange analysts are advising players not keep their investments in member objects, and are suggesting to buy stock in top-of-the-line non-member objects like Rune armour, Food, Corrupt Dragon, etc. A word to the wise: If you’re an investor, watch out for the possibility of a crash in the market

31/7/2009 - Money Making
First off sorry about the long, long wait of lack of updates to this blog, however I have decided to make this article about money making for members and non members. Me personally I believe the idea is to stick simple to ensure yourself that not as much time as you think is being wasted. For EXAMPLE For members and non members cut down yew logs or magic logs and sell them on the new and improved grand exchange (GOOD IDEA: sell he logs for the lowest possible price in the GE so that you as a seller will be first on the market and therefore probably first to get a high or medium offer) or also the logs can be sold to high pricing buyers. The most important thing is completing deals matching your level, like selling bars of metal, selling runes, selling cowhide, selling logs (yew is good), or anything even cabbage in large or giant amounts. Also while gaining level try gaining money too. For EXAMPLE Advance combat level by attacking dark wizards, wizards, lesser demons, greater demons which all can drop things which can make you a lot of money. Killing dark wizards for 30 mins can help you gain xp and money (money = 20-70k) depending on your level. Also smithing, wood cutting, and such is very successful. Do something you enjoy while gaining money For EXAMPLE Doing quests or always exchange tasks in money making times because Runescape being repetitive absolutely ruins and puts any player off the game, so simply do something that gains xp, is fun, not repetitive and of course gets you as a player, GOLD!

Capes of Achievement, also known as Capes of Accomplishment, were released on 18 October 2006. They can be purchased only by members who have maximized their level in a skill. When worn they can temporarily boost the level of that skill. The capes allow their owners to perform a unique emote relating to the skill. Players who have maximized more than one skill receive a cape that is trimmed to designate their multiple skill status. A Cape of Achievement is also available to players who have completed every quest in the game. Players must complete new quests as they are released in order to continue to wear the quest cape and to use its emote.

22/1/2007 - The Combat Triangle

The combat triagle is a triangle to show what an attack would be good on.
Warriors, or those who fight with melee combat, have an advantage against rangers because of the poor melee defence bonus of the ranger's dragonhide.
Mages have an advantage against warriors due to the magic conducting properties of the metallic armours worn by warriors. Magic spells can bind and freeze players for a small period of time, keeping warriors from reaching them with their short-range weapons.
Rangers have an advantage against mages as their leather and dragonhide armours have high magic defence bonuses. Arrows easily pierce through mage robes, causing much damage to the wearer. Their long range attacks allow them to deal damage from a distance even when bound.

19/8/2006 - Smithing

Smithing uses the ores obtained from mining to make armour, weapons, and other items. The first stage of smithing is smelting the raw ores into usable bars. The second stage of smithing is forging the bars into usable items on an anvil using a hammer. Most pieces of armour and weaponry require more than one bar to forge, and more valuable bars require higher smithing levels and more ores.

19/8/2006 - Woodcutting

Woodcutting requires players to use an axe to chop down trees and collect the logs. Normal trees yield only one log each before they must respawn; all other trees yield several logs. Players can use better hatchets as their skill levels increase, allowing them to chop trees faster. The logs cut are commonly used in the fletching, construction, and firemaking skills.

19/8/2006 - Farming crops

Farming allows players to grow various vegetables, flowers, hops, herbs, bushes, trees, and other plants from seeds, which can be purchased, pickpocketed, harvested from some plants, or obtained from various monsters drops and random events. Players with higher farming skill levels can also make scarecrows to help protect their crops. The farming skill, available only to paying members, was released on July 11, 2005.

19/8/2006 - Fletching An Arrow

Fletching is a members' skill used to make arrows, bows, and other projectile weapons from raw materials found throughout Gielinor. Higher level woods require higher experience levels, making better bows and ammunition that shoot more accurately and with more power. The strongest bows, which are made from yew or magic trees, are also popular items to "alch", or turn to gold using the High Alchemy spell.

19/8/2006 - Rune Crafting

Runecrafting allows players to create the runestones, or runes, required for casting magic spells. Runes, which are small stones that can be infused with different kinds of power, are created from rune essence. Power is infused into the rune essence via altars specific to the type of power, creating runes. Runes that require membership to be able to craft, such as Cosmic, Chaos, etc... can only be crafted with "Pure Essence", which requires a higher mining level to mine, as well as membership. Access to altars is granted by possessing the appropriate talisman. Players can also choose to make and wear enchanted tiaras instead of carrying talisman. Many players train runecrafting by using groups of runners, who transport the rune essence to the runecrafter in exchange for the end product, allowing the runecrafter to train more quickly. Paying members have access to the Abyss, which allows players to reach the runecrafting altars more quickly but with greater risk.

19/8/2006 - Agility-balancing on a log

Agility is a members' skill used to access remote areas and to take shortcuts, especially in the wilderness and on some quests. Many areas that contain slayer monsters have agility shortcuts to help higher level players reach the monsters they wish to slay more quickly. As players train the agility skill, their stamina regeneration rates increase, which allows their run energy to restore faster. Agility is the only member skill that retains its effects when players are on free to play servers. The agility skill was released on 12 December 2002.
