The approval of the ACES on June 26th is a great leap forward of America in fields of clean energy using, energy security and environment protecting. As the biggest economic in the world, America also produce most CO2 and maybe some other harmful (for both human and the environment) gas. The ACES can limit the discharge amount of this kind of gas. And at the same time, it creates millions of green jobs for the severe labor market.
Among the regulations of the ACES, we can found that it include many elements of the New Apollo program. The most obvious one, they both advocate clean energy.
According to the bill(and the new Apollo program), we will produced at least 25% of the nations’ power from renewable and recycled energy by the year of 2025 compare to today’s less than 10%.
The both programs are similar in another part, the promoting of the efficiency of energy using. They both admit that America’s inefficiency in using energy is the main cause of energy waste. The new Apollo program proposes that we improve efficiency by 20% in existing power plants and industries by 2025.
There are many similarity of the two document, as an low, the ACES is more comprehensive. While the initial purposes of the two are the same: to provide a better atmosphere for all the American, and the world.
