About Me
I currently have Ad-Aware (free), a-squared (free), and Ewido Anti-Malware (trial) installed on my computer. Running on Windows XP Pro SP2, 2.79GHz Pentium, 512mb RAM. ADSL connection to the net. Have been using computers at home since 1997. Have been infected with Malware that led to a reinstall of Windows about three times. Now only get false positives and tracking cookies in my lists after scans. Am connected through hardware and software firewall to home network and internet. Use Avast Antivirus (home). I don't click on banner ads, don't do P2P file sharing and read EULAs of most programs from unfamiliar sources. I have helped several other people to get their computers back to normal after malware infections, using Ad-aware, Spybot Search & Destroy and other resources I find on the net. I regularly try out anti-malware/spyware software on my computer, mainly to compare what I have with new things that come out. I used to use Spybot a lot, but had a bad update and discontinued use. Have also tried Spyware Doctor (full version) and uninstalled it due to strange error messages that kept appearing.
