What attracted you to MIECAT?
What attracted me to MiECAT was it's emphasis on experiential learning and process.Especially that self reflective processes were essential in order to be present to another as fully as possible.And it's flexibility of timings as i have two small children.
I am doing the grad dip at the moment finishing up my first year and i have just been blown away, because this gives me a vehicle in which to articulate my understandings of the ways of being with another in the discovery of meaning.What is so liberating is that it is a healthy and sustainable way of being.
Not a sadistic self sacraficial experience of loving another but a way of being with another ,becoming aware of what is happening for you in that moment and also present to what is happening for that person and the space in beteween your interaction, without taking everyting on.Knowing what is yours , what is theirs and what you share.
How big a part of your life's work do you see MIECAT touching?
I think the Miecat approach to inquriy has touched me deeply .
It is a beautiful lifegiving approach , which i am introducing into many aspects of the way i live and relate.Because of the undepinning ethos of self awareness. It creates a confronting yet very informative way of being there.And it is as I attend to this , I can see how it makes such a difference in the way i not only cope but thrive.
Is there some aspect of healing or area of creativity in particular that you see yourself specialising in?
I think i am still working that through as i go .I feel i can adapt this approach to any situation and because i have been involved with so many different groups contexts as well as one on one I wonder which one would suit me most .I think at this point I am most healed by this expereince by being educated by it and i would love to pass this on in informal and formal contexts.
