About Me
"John Allison is a New Zealand/Australian poet, musician, and anthroposophist. He was born in New Zealand and taught at the Christchurch Waldorf Steiner School for 24 years. He now lives in the Dandenong Ranges east of Melbourne. Allison plays the middle eastern oud, renaissance lute and cittern, is an established poet with four published collections and many poems printed in journals worldwide, and a lecturer and writer on themes related to poetic imagination and observation, anthroposophy, and Waldorf education. In his recent writing he has attempted to show how ordinary imagination can be intensified to become an organ of cognition." Someone – not me actually - put this on Wikipedia, but I think it can stand… Further to this I would mention that I am available as a lecturer, workshop facilitator and consultant, working in a wide range of areas concerning human development.
