Well, Beep!Beep! It’s Me has tagged me
again. I must admit, I do enjoy these. The meme is “Five songs to be played at
my funeral”
I found this one tricky and
had to think about it for a bit, but I think I’ve managed to come up with
something. I’ll try and find links where I can…
- Wish YOU were here –
Pink Floyd
- Come up and see me (Make
me smile) – Steve Harley &
Cockney Rebel
- The Pretender – Jackson Browne
- Funeral for a Friend/Love
Lies Bleeding – Elton John
- Eagle Rock – Daddy Cool
(Crank it up!!!)
Now to tag some more
unsuspecting souls…;)
Petermcc, Deena, Gryphonn, CatDog.

my friend jem and I discuss this ALL the time and it changes a lot. Whats a connie??

Connie
Then you should have a list ready to go Cat. But I know what you mean. I had to think a little about this one...
A connie was a cardigan, just like that one. You only ever did it up, just like that one is in the photo.
The boys wore striped ones, a size to small in gang colours and so did the girls mostly, but that one would have gone down a treat in Pascoe Vale. We were blue and white-ish...:)

Songs to die for
I would hope that you enforce the dancing of the "Eagle Rock" as well. A funeral not to be missed.

Eagle Rock
Abso-bloody-lutely Dikkii...:)
It's the only song ever that's been able to entice me out of my chair or away from the bar to willingly dance. It will also set the tone for the wake, I'm sure. That's why it's last...:)

Apparently one of the songs most frequently played at funerals is Celine Dion's 'My Heart Will Go On'. Personally, I'm not sure why you'd want to put your family and friends through further trauma..... :-)

LOL!!
I can but agree Rinny...:) (wipes tears from his eyes...:))
I could add you to the list if you like, but I suspect that it will come your way eventually anyway...

Interesting list
Happy Birthday Plonka! Just in time.
Interesting list, although I don't know Daddy Cool.
And yes, absolutely right about Celine Dion...the things people come up with! - Kees
Thanks again
Thanks Kees...:)
I had to think about it a little, but I think I covered myself pretty well.
Daddy Cool is Ross Wilson (Mondo Rock, etc...)

I canna see it Lass...:) (use the heavy Scottish accent there.)
plonka - 10:22 AM - 7/2/2007
It's there...
Under "Utube favourites"... tucked surrepticiously at the bottom of that article, and pitiful it is too. (sniff) LOL. Dee

No worries
I can see (or hear) why you had difficulty with that one. It's a bit sort of, I don't know, James Blunt really...:)
