This is Some Life
One thing accomplished and off the list..*phew*
Finally validated the police check forms, they're now posted, just have to wait up to 40 days :S such are the joys I guess.
The next issue is the health checks, rough price guide is £150 each, I only need 3 or 4 of them!!! Needles to say they can only be done by 'Visa Approved' clinics so it's a case of finding out if they take monthly payments:D Not holding my breath though.
The Wedding is now set for 4th Novemeber in the rose garden. We spent sometime (conference call) with the celebrant today, so that's all going smoothly, apart from a few legal issues(compulsory), we have pretty much a blank slate for the day :D
Richie thinks we will discuss it when I'm over there, little does he know, I'm already planning..but that's between you and I ..right?
Went for a journey to the post office today to send him a little something, obviously, I can't tell you all what it is just yet;) on route I noticed, as a girl does, a shoe shop, I found a perfect pair of shoes for the wedding, only one minute drawback, they were pink! what's a girl to do? Luckily, here in the UK, this summer's colour seems to be white, so I should manage to avoid the over-priced wedding shoe stores:D I think they translate the word 'Bride' as "oooh rip-off time"

The Beginning
Every Journey has a beginning and ours has been very briefly listed by Richard, the biggest hurdle for us now is actually getting together in the same place. Here we will share with you our journey through the wonderful process known as visa immigration:s
Before we can send off all the details there are many documents and pieces of evidence we need to gather to begin.
Richard is working on affidavits from his family over here in England
As for me I have to gather them from my family and friends. Send off for the police checks and get three lots of health checks done, including my children that are not coming over to Australia with me:s For now I'm trying to get someone to sign the forms validating my identy for the police checks

Let's get this party started
Hi, Richard here.We are Richard and Marie. We met on a chess site, we'd both given up on dating sites (too many sharks and not enough fish). We were also both happily single.
So what happened? Well I guess it is just one of those things. We started chatting in the forums, mostly as part of wider discussions, but someting was drawing us together.
It kinda started at an on-line birthday party. The on-line date Marie had (and he was nothing more than an on-line date) was busy mucking around with one of the other male partygoers so she made the complaint "and I am still without a man on my arm:(" so I stepped up. After that it all just seemed to fall together.
We had our first official date in the club, a virtual dinner if you please. After that things seemed to move along pretty quickly. I think we both realised that this was something more than virtual flirtation. By January we had both worked out that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together.
We finally physically met in May. The amazing thing is, is that there was no awkwardness. We just fit perfectly, it was so natural, I think both of us knew at that first instant we were doing the absolute right thing being together. I know we had been sort of engaged since January 23 but I had not formally asked for her hand. Strangely enough, even though I knew the answer to the question because we had already discussed it, I was still very nervous. She even told me her heart skipped a beat when I asked.
Oh by the way, she said yes
.Oh yes, in case I forgot to mention, there is one slight drawback to the relationship. We are on opposite sides of the world
. That is something we are working fiercely to correct.I know this is not much of an intro but I don't have a lot of spare time at the moment.
