No slow start today as the boys came out all guns blazing to have their opponents well and truly rattled. At half time an upset was still possible but thereafter the Blues were sunk by a 4 try blitz by one big fast bopper called Thomas.

This Easts team is well drilled but Norths were holding them, if not for this strong individual performance.

The determination to hold out on the try line in defence, especially in the first half, while Easts continued to mount raid after raid, was a new facet of the team’s grit on display today.
