The Kershaw Gardens, in Rockhampton, has a beautiful display of paper dasies at the moment. I've always loved them, their silky-looking papery-feeling petals seem so dainty, but they're pretty tough. And the bees love them when they're open. Even spiders make homes out of them...

Too good for the bees to resist. My daughter chastised me severely for harassing this little guy. Check out the pollen on his legs.

Then their fluffy little seeds are carried away by the wind... and a new generation is born...
