So far we've noticed two types of eagles hanging around. Sorry Chica, there's no carcass shots here. The dogs seem to be aware that they could lose their feed and have been taking turns to guard it. The crows are doing a good job too. They gang up and chase off any of the bigger predatory birds that turn up.
This, I think, is a little Brown Eagle. Not so little in the grand scheme of things, but fairly small in comparison to the Wedge-tails, or even the Sea Eagles. These are not great shots as they are more afraid of people than most of the birds we get around here. I can't get close enough for good pics. There was a pair of them cruising around.

Then there's the White-Breasted Sea Eagles... we've only seen the one though. I came out this morning and it was in the tree right next to the house. It took off though as soon as it saw me and landed in a tree down the paddock a bit. You can see the crows that were giving it a hard time. The one that's flying was right on it's ar... butt a second before.

He's keeping his/her eyes peeled...

And then off he/she went... circled a bit, then gave up on the idea of an easy meal and went home.
