• Thursday 24 August 2006 - Dragonflies... well, just one.

I still haven't heard about the case, so we're into the third day now. I was sitting here earlier, looking at the screen of the computer, when I suddenly realised that I'd been here, lost in thought for about 40 minutes. So I decided to go out and get some fresh air. I wandered around a bit and took some photos, but nothing was jumping out at me as being spectacular... and then...

As I came home, I noticed this dragonfly flittering around above the house. It was only a few feet above me and not moving too fast, so I zoomed in and focused on it. I didn't think this would work, but it doesn't look too bad.

It landed on the CB aerial and I got the sun shining on it's wings.

It took off and landed a few times, and I managed to get it just as it came in for a landing.

I zoomed in a bit more... and then it turned and looked at me.

.......... I just got the call....... not guilty. The dirty bastard won.
How do I tell her?

Tina,

I was just looking at your dragonfly photos thinking how amazing they were and then I got to the bottom of your blog and heard the news - "NOT Guilty". Where is the justice?

Love,

Tina, I am so sorry. I can only say that having been able to at least tell the story and have her family support her is more important to her spiritual health than anything else. Plenty of love and being able to talk about it when she needs to, reassurance and support is all the medicine she absolutely needs. A guilty verdict would have been great but she will be strong without it, with you.

Same as cherylgraham2, I was scrolling thru your dragonflies and the last bit of your post was like a crack of thunder. It's not right and it's not fair. But TheBat45 is right. The story is out and people will never look at him the same again coz mud always sticks. He will never be trusted with another little girl. But the truth and your love will be her biggest healers. Lots Of Love to you all.
