• Friday 18 August 2006 - Aah... autostitch...

I just thought I'd put up a couple more examples from my autostitch collection. This program is brilliant... what else can I say? Try it out.

This is 3 seperate photos, taken from the car. The first was pointed towards the back of the car, and as you can see by the aerial, the last was pointing pretty much out the front.

This is about 6 photos all up. This storm was just huge. The clouds at the top of the photo were just about on top of us. In the original size you can just see our neighbour's house in the middle... but because I had to shrink it down to upload it here, the picture is too small.

Click on the photos for a larger view.

You're telling me! I just love this program. You don't have to do anything because it does it all for you. All you have to do is make sure that there is at least one point of reference that is the same in the pics that you'll want joined (the same tree, etc), then you select the photos and a minute or so later... bingo. Then you just crop off the uneven edges and it's done. And say you take a photo with a person or animal in it, then they/it moves or is in a different pose in the next shot... it's even clever enough to take one of the people/animals out of the pic so that you don't get that shadow effect. Don't ask me how... it's magic.

I have an autostitch function which came with my Canon ZoomBrowser programme, with my camera. Is it the same, do you think. It puts together quite amazing vistas, as long as you remember to set the camera to panorama and keep clicking. Great photos, though. And I love Izzie
