Studied my ass off all weekend for the test i did today (1 down 2 to go...) but i was feeling ok up until i opened up the first page when the lecturer said 'you may begin.' My heart skipped 2 beats, and i had trouble breathing when i realised  i didn't know the answer to the first question...or the second...or the third...triple bugger!! The test was absolutely stupid and had nothing to to with what i studied (even though i followed the lecturers advice, did all my pre-readings (16 chapters worth), and know my lecture notes off by heart...Hopefully i fluked it and passed (please god...)

..................Oh the shame..................

Sometimes i wonder why i study...sometimes it does more harm than good cos' if you study the wrong things you are stuffed...and meanwhile shitting yourself whilst you wait for the results to come through. And when finally they do....you just don't want to know!!

Well it is the end of week 4, semester 1 of 2nd year nursing...and this week marks the end of what we call 'cruzy uni.' From this point forward i will have a mimimum of 2 assessments a week, whether they be practical or written. However, week 5 on Monday morning starts at 0830 with a 1 and a half hour test, a practical assessment on Tuesday at 1330 and another 1 hour short answer assessment on Thursday at 0930...so forgive me for feeling abit overloaded!

So...what will i be doing on the weekend i wonder?? Studying BIG TIME.

The Uni had 'O' Day today, which kind of sucked because it has just been us 2nd and 3rd year nursing students for the past 4 weeks and we haven't had to stand in line for ages waiting for the toilet, or to buy coffee. Today we did...And to think that this time last year I was one of those fresh faced new students walking around with a map and still getting lost..it only feels like yesterday! So like everyone else, i decided to hang around after the lecture and join the 'O' week festivities, posed as a first year (Just Joking!) and got heaps of free stuff! 92.9 were there and i had my photo taken with Kat (a fellow student friend of mine) just for a free copy of that new Famous magazine, a can of Coke Zero and a 92.9 sticker! Hopefully i don't appear on their website!

Well thats all so far on the uni front...

Oh, I had a practical assessment on Wednesday (yesterday) on Injections and i passed! Watch out! I'm now qualified to give injections...on a sponge..or lime..haven't actually done it on a real person yet ..but that time will come when i start prac in 11 weeks (scary stuff hey!).

Well..here I am!

I'm not one to keep a diary, but for some reason i really wanted to write about me and what i do (or don't...or should!), so i could keep my family and friends updated on whats going on in my life. On top of that i also wanted a space i could just...well you know...talk about stuff.

So this is the result! My very own Blog. I have designed it especially for my friends and family, so I hope you all enjoy it and have some kind of an idea of what i'm up to. I'm so busy with Uni these days that i don't really have much time to catch up with anyone anymore..but now i do!
