The Country PubThe country pub is the centre of the town, indeed of the district. Forget the bank, post office and court house more business is conducted here than any of those places. It is the centre of the town's entertainment, the meeting place and where all that matters is arranged and later where it is reviewed. Some are quite flash affairs but many are just a simple building, it doesn't really matter to the patrons. They have names like Imperial, Royal and Railway. Which one is your local defines your place in the town's social scene. Ravenswood is an historic town in central Queensland. Many of the town's buildings have been restored and some, like the pub and a couple of the shops, are is use serving their original purpose. There are some additional images of Ravenswood at cewatticey.
