End of the Line: Forest Native Nursery

22 September 2008 7:20 AM

This may interest enthusiasts in eastern New South Wales.

John and Penny Rose have been involved in growing Australian native plants for many years.  They started Forest Native Nursery at Terry Hills in the early 1970s (later Sydney Wildflower Nursery) and subsequently moved into wholesale growing at Berry (wonderful part of the world!).  They have now decided that it's time for other things and are closing down plant production.

Starting the October long weekend they are having a Closing Down Sale. The nursery will be open Friday 3, Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 from 10am to 4pm until all the plants are all sold.

The nursery is in Wattamolla Road, Berry. It is reached by turning right from the Princes Highway after the bridge at the commencement of Berry. Follow the signs to Wattamolla for 7k turning left into Wattamolla Road. The nursery is 2k down on the right hand side (first after Foremans Road).

From Kangaroo Valley, Wattamolla Road is 2nd left from Berry Mountain Road and the nursery is 1k after the end of the dirt road section (approx 15k from its commencement)

The nursery phone number is 4464 2275 - often just an answer machine as they don't have mobile reception available when outdoors.
