28 July 2008 1:28 PM For such a small genus, Correa is a bit of an enigma. There are only 11 species but there are countless cultivars and hybrids and quite a bit of confusion when it comes to identifying which one is which.
It's a great idea but as an identification tool it has some limitations - eg. if you don't know the name of the plant you'd like to identify, you're basically going to have to work through the photo links one by one until you come to something that looks like your plant. And you can't stop there because a lot of cultivars are similar - so you'll need to keep going and note all of the ones that look like your plant. You can then work through that list to try to find the best match. It's going to take a lot of time.... The site could be improved by replacing the text index by a photo thumbnail index with similar cultivars grouped together. { Add Comment }
