eBay's knack for angering its own members was also made apparent at a recent user meeting when eBay Regional Vice President Simon Smith said, "We're not allowing people to offer unsafe choices, just like in this democracy you can't go out and buy heroin on the streets." (http://www.theinquirer.net/gb/inquirer/news/2008/05/07/paypal-akin-selling-heroin-ebay).
Users scorned eBay's comparison of heroin with other payment methods, and were cynical about a promotion the company ran one month prior to announcing the new policy. In March, eBay encouraged sellers to offer PayPal in their listings by giving them a week of free Final Value Fees and rewards of up to $10,000 (http://members.lycos.nl/testmusic/Ebay-message-promos.html). One seller said of the promotion, "eBay bribes Power Sellers in Australia to build up PayPal support."

I had a 5000+ feedback and since the launch of DSR anonymous feedback system everything started to fall apart…. Buyers although were clearly informed for the shipping time (99% US customers and am shipping from Europe) started to leave a 4 DSR and in many cases a 3 DSR….I started emailing all my clients in advance with no succes….most of them felt that are satisfied but not VERY SATISFIED…. Christmas Postal overload, a family emergency…and 2 Negatives later and am suspended indefinately due to low DSR…. It took me since 1999 to establish this business and now i am totally off…. I am positive that certain powersellers have inside Ebay connections created either directly (bribing) or indirectly thru Ebay congresses (again bribing) …. its nice to have an insider in good Ebay position to call or email when something goes wrong…. Unfortunately nobody cares about the sellers located out of USA and are still making more than 50% of Ebay income. Amazon is not an alternative for us, we are not US located. Roman Empire got it a few hundrend years to collapse but finally did….Ebay will manage the same in much less time.
