| A crochet/ craft only blog for those who do not wish to delve in to my 'life' on the main blog. Note - all crochet terminology used is in US form. Email address, eyriecrochet-spam@gmail.com "...I make things because I love knowing that I can. I love knowing that I put all my love and creativity into it. And I love knowing that in this hectic world, I can sit down and make something useful and beautiful. Often, other people wonder why I would do this when I could buy a rug at Walmart for ten dollars. I think that the point is slowing down and enjoying the journey, even if it is taking much longer than I originally thought that it would...." |

I finished the 5th sock, the first of the other recycled jumpers ones last night. Tried it on. And its too tight! The foot part is ok, wearable. But the line that wraps around from the end of the heel joins is uncomfortably tight, and the ankle is too short when its stretched out. I don't think that that yarn with 3.25 needles is the best combination using the formula 7.5/4/36/18/8 @ 4.5 SPI. I am thinking I will go up a needle size for another one, and work on a 5 SPI x 3.25 guage for another. I refuse to undo this one. Its a learning experience after all. If those don't work, then I guess I'll try a cuff down method.
