This is a new style of digital colouring I am trying out. I was happy with the soft and fluffy airbrush method but this is bolder and sharper. I like transparent layers and the shapes are inspired by cut paper.
I have been doing lots of drawing from observation latterly. While I was travelling I stalked rabbits and kangaroos with my sketch book in hand. Over Christmas I painted lots of portraits in my cartoon style. Drawing children's portraits was great practice capturing movement and posture.
