I made this image while traveling around Australia. We were staying on the grounds of a retired army base now Bible College in NSW. I found a table of old books for sale in this hall that used to be the picture theatre. I love 1950s children's book illustrations, the murky flat colour cut outs contrasted with sketches. This is my interpretation of the 1950s style.

I love your take on the 50's illustration technique along with the typeface - you could explore this further for greeting cards.
