Blogroll changes

Phew!  A busy weekend is coming to an end and not much writing time has been left over.  The fireworks are making a racket again - today is another auspicious day to light firecrackers.  Hopefully it is the final one.  Today I want to highlight a couple of changes to my blogroll.  Firstly I have added China Rises: Notes from the Middle Kingdom, which is a blog written by American journalist, Tim Johnson.  I am not a big fan of his writing style, nor the content of his blog, but I still look forward to his new posts.  Being an American journalist, he gives an insight into what goes on in the minds of the American public.  Johnson often rallies against North Korea and Kim Jong-Il, so obviously Americans aren't great fans of the 'regime'.  Johnson is also a good source of information about Nanping, Albury's pseudo sister city.

Secondly I have added the blog of another American, a guy called Michael Turton.  Turton is an English teacher who blogs prolifically on The View from Taiwan.  He has been a handy find because he is very interested in Taiwanese politics, thus he counterbalances my blogroll, which is heavily focused on the Chinese mainland.  So far, I have most enjoyed a post about BBC bias and a post about Kuomintang leader Ma Yingjiu
