Added some snapshots to the Countdown post below (just under the Lobby plug). Not up to Gryphonn's standard perhaps (see his Limited Bandwidth site for some really snazzy snaps, Likewise Tinacee's Manah Manah site) but helps set the mood I think.http://www.blognow.com.au/manahmanah/

Counting Down

9:51 AM, 21/8/2006 .. Posted by Lourob
Not an era that fond memories jump to mind as quickly as the previous posts... too tied up with completeng a degree, work and kids I think...but the download did stir the neurons around a bit and well worth the listen...Mother Goose, I do rememebr for "Baked Beans", which my second generation of kids grit thier teeth everytime I serve them up with the Chorus. My oldest son quickly got into punk , grunge etc .. although I do remember a period of Adam Ant. Well thanks Captain Straightman for the effort and I am looking forward to the next post.

Baked Beans

I've actually managed to source a copy of the album with Baked Beans on but it's a weird compression format and the application that opens it drove me crazy to the extent that I deleted it and will have to download it again before I can listen to it.

Next post will take us into the age I was loose upon the world so expect a fair amount of raucous obscurity, but after that we start all over again with more 60s and Sunbury 70s gems.

Hi Capn - if you could post that Shearing album Latin Lace I for one would be most grateful. If you like I could advise my loyal visitors of the post which may boost your visitation a bit. Thanks Ron (Mr X)
