The First Bob Dylan Songbook Band - is here and gone and the next is mebbe December 2 - First Sunday in December anyways. 4-8 NSW time. Billy aint that wrapped due to his own depressive nature which sinks into the Blues with less than 4 hours of Dylan. In fact the Bill reckons some Leonard Cohen would do it to him as well on a Sunday Arvo. The daughter Kate thinks Bill is crazy as usual. She is a Dylan -ite and has been since she was in Kindie. Calls herself a female Bloke now she's been up and met him. and she thinks the afternoon of Dylan is SPOT ON. !
Half the Band had the new T shirts and they looked right smart. all the way down from North Queensland. Iz and Johnny Carr had to dig out ordinary Bob T-shirts but they looked pretty schmick.
The club has been getting some paintwork and noticeboards and IT LOOKS GOOD. So for the BDSB Band days - there is plenty of room for the kids to play. Good atmosphere for chatting with mates and - it is a banquet for all DYLAN-ITES.
Kenny and Mick cooked up some chicken kebabs and Jaki put out some chips . Don't miss the December 2nd Arvo.

BLOKE , JOHNNY CARR AND IZZY MAKING PLANS FOR THE DYLAN SONGBOOK BAND

Bill needs to check the actual time of this for you. Its Afternoon - that much he knows which is probably as close as we're going to get in the Valley. Pete Lawson will be joining these three. Billy has heard bits and pieces and its sounding good. Well- Billy hasn't been won over to Dylan on a Sunday as yet - but - The Daughter is 100% for it. And the PREVIEWS have been getting people to their feet at Blues Club and down at Jamiesons where Bloke and Iz do one or two Dylans on a smaller scale. So - all the Dylan freaks out there - come along. Vivs putting a barbecue on so I'm told. Think its Viv anyways. Not a bad way to spend a Summer Sunday.

BOB DYLAN SONGBOOK : IN REHEARSAL

In true Dylan style , the Songbook Band is in mysterious rehearsal mode. Billy hears tell there is music up in the Hills late at night where the lightning struck the trees down. Billy is in the City again this week and out front a Cherry Picker and a mad Irishman are chopping down a tree . Someone painted a big blue R on said tree. Guess it means - REMOVAL. Well Billy didnt guess that at all. He had no idea what the Big Blue R meant although his mind had a few visions running around in it . The Bass Player told him what it meant.
NOW They've managed to land a branch on the letterboxes and the Mad Irishman is trying to reconstruct the bricks without its being noticed. Billy is noticing it. Its his letterbox with the shiny new padlock for city mail - lying there on the ground. Bill was married for a long time into a BIG logging company and these loppers wouldnt do so well up on the Styx River back of Dorrigo.
Styx River could be where they're sent after this !
Anyways - up in the hills back of Carool - keep your ears and eyes etc open for clues. Late at night. Dylanesque sounds which Billy reckons HAS to be better than Ferry does Dylan. Ferry does Dylan over.
Our boys will do MUCH better due to the Hill influence and the mysterious rehearsals and the INTENSITY of their personalities. Sunday - the something of October ( check the calendar on the left which Billy just put in there using web language he didnt know he knew ) Its the FIRST Sunday afternoon. every month beginning next week. Billy would put some images of the Bob Dylan Songbook in person but he's in his animated GIFs addiction - when that passes he will give you some more FOTOS.
