I have been fond of Dutch people since I met Bente, my best Dutch friend, though she is three years younger than me. We had a great friendship when she was in Beijing from Sep. 2005 to Feb 2006, and the friendship continues till now and will go on forever. Coincidentally, my fiance has Dutch blood too - his maternal grandparents are from the Netherlands, which has added more fondness of the Dutch people in my heart. 
Last September, we had dinner with some "linguists" in the Australian navy. Among them, there was a funny man who didn't know what seriousness meant. He was madly in love with one of the female linguists. After dinner, we talked for quite a while and I learned that his father was from Holland! Gees! Of course I gotta help him with his pursuit of this woman for the sake of the Dutch. I gave him some tips of making the woman fond of him. 
I am the kind of person who will like the country from which the actual person I like comes. Currently, I like Holland a lot and I like Australia more. As for China, no comment at the moment.  |
