It seems difficult for girls/women to find a suitable man, let alone Mr. Right. Men tend to have more than one girlfriend/mistress at the same time while women are trying hard to find one single man nowadays. We take courses to learn how to be sexy (not sexual!) and tender. We take courses to be knowledgeable and intelligent instead of being a bimbo. Still, we have found out that we don't have many choices.(have to admit some of us have very high standards) Were we born in the wrong era? I looked up some information about population in China five minutes ago and I found that in 1982, the ratio between male and female babies born in China was 107:100. According to this datum, Chinese women of my age should not be faced with difficulty to find a man. However, there are many single women around me and some of my friends' male partners used to have more than one girlfriend simultaneously while my friends were single.
So what about if the ratio is higher than 107:100?
The headlines these days are about the ratio between male and female babies born in China in 2004 ----- 121.2:100! After being shocked at the disparity, I start thinking what the female babies will face when they grow up into 20something women. Will they have a brighter future in terms of having a partner? It's supposed so. At that time, they will be really hot in men's eyes because of the lack of women. From this point of view, they should be luckier than 20 something women at the moment.
Some media have started discussing about what men should do if they can't find a partner i n 20 years. Some experts suggest that they should find a male partner instead; that's to say, they should be homosexuals! What a brave and subversive suggestion! But the first thing we should think about now is whether it's legal to have same-sex marriages in China and other parts of the world.
So on behalf of women, I would like to say that women should be allowed to have more than one husband in 20 years. There are still some social systems allowing men to have several wives. So it's gonna be our turn to enjoy it!
Disclaimer: I am a faithful woman to my fiance whom I love a lot and I don't need another lover.

| I think women are naturally attracted to men who already have girlfriends. Isn't that why some single men pretend to be married? Women are naturally competitive, Chinese women especially so. |

I have to admit that women are competitive and they are evil too. A man with a girlfriend is supposed to be really good; otherwise, he can't get a girlfriend. So women aim at and want him (meanwhile rob him of the woman). But I believe more women don't wanna involve into others' relationships, especially a married relationship. And when they are involved in another's relationship, they crave a real partner more, I believe.
