13/6/2006 - The incredibles!

Posted in aussports

The Aussie soccer team was incredibly amazing! Two Tim Cahill goals in the final seven minutes - and a third by John Aloisi - created one of the most stirring moments in Australian sport overnight as the Socceroos overcame a one-goal deficit to beat Japan 3-1. We managed to watch the last thirty minutes' match, experiencing from disappointment through anxiety to great ecstasy. They are incredibles and I hope they will perform even better later on!

hey it seems all chinese are pretty up to beat with the world cup even though we are not in it! i also keep myself updated with the matches by watching at least 2 everyday, since they are in Germany, I don't even have to stay up late at night and fight for the time difference haha. well not that i'm a crazy crazy fan of it, but actually me and my bf bet several kuai (less than 10) on each game and i hope to win some ice cream money from it:) and i have a tv at home and people come to watch it anyway, so:) well, Belgium is not in it, but i hope the Swedes will perform well so that when I go there in 2 weeks there will still be bunches of excited crowds for me to watch and join and a wonderful excuse for beer:)

one question about the blog: it seems a very nice blog server, is it censored in china like the blogger?

Of course it is censored in China. Everything foreign is censored by our great motherland. But fortunately, we have got access to this website and can make a comment on our life. And we don't have to always post subversive articles to piss off China and lead troubles to ourselves, do we? And one question for my dear Wen, do you have anything subversive to say?

PS: you are so xing fu to watch world cup in Belgium. And I go for Australia!

of course all I have got to say are supposed to be censored, otherwise what's the point to say it? :)

I watched the game where the swedes were beaten up by the germans the day I arrived in Sweden. And this afternoon the one between Australia and Italy. I'm sorry to see the oz losing at the very last minute, but I have to say they played pretty well and even they're lost, it was somewhat zhuanglie than the swedes who were like walking deads the whole game, and were lost even before the game started.

I feel so sad at the result, which is mostly due to the stupid Spanish ref. It was just a normal and reasonable defence by Australia. There shouldn't have been a free kick. But I'm still proud of the boys and it was really zhuanglie. I will support them in the next World Cup. And I am sorry to hear that Sweden lost Germany. Is your bf a soccer fan?
