WE ARE OUT THERE - LOOKING - LOOKING - LOOKING.WELL thats the end of the KEANS COACHES for me. Went into Roma Street this morning after the brekkie meeting. Approached Greyhound and discovered that they charge $72 for the URUNGA to BYRON BAY trip while PREMIER only charges $42. EXPLAIN THAT ONE ! Then went down to QR travelscene and met 3 really nice people who hunted down the $2.50 pensioner excursion for me amidst laughter and pleasantry. Everything was looking SWELL. Came home Tried to SKYPE phone KEANS COACHES to arrange the Armidale round trip. Skype wouldnt work. Mobile wouldnt ring the 1800 number.
Sometimes i think Dr Dobie and Richard Craig didnt have it much harder getting from Maitland to Grafton than we do nowadays.
So I located the landline numbers - got out the Optus Mobile and rang Keans Coaches and now i find out that THEY ARE STARTING A NEW TIMETABLE THIS WEEK. Silly me - I thought they were adding services but NO. Now you can only get to Armidale from Bellingen on Mondays and Thursday and only come back On Tuesdays and Fridays.
DRAT. and far worse words than DRAT ! SUX KEANS. i am not KEAN on this one. So all my plans are now in disarray. Lets send an email and see what she meant by ROUND TRIP.
