Izzy is presently trying out a ‘Kay’ hollow-bodied bass restored by Ian Willis at MONGREL GUITARS. The bass was probably made some time in the early 1960s, and Ian has skilfully brought it back from the dead and returned it to a finely-tuned instrument that Izzy is finding a pleasure to play. Izzy will be putting the Old Girl through her paces over the next couple of weeks , but if the initial weekend’s trial is any indication , the Kay and Izzy may be sparring partners for some time to come.
