Last night a wee lass called Kirsty rang. As darling a child as Jade . She rang with pleasure in her voice to offer me a temporary solution - a MOBILE PHONE. or "something they attach to the bottom of the phone or something ".
what about Internet your Telstra Majesty ? says I .
Oh no. No internet.

aha ! then says the dear lass - I cant actually offer you anything because you are on pre paid home and I do not have your details nor access to them.

Says I - you rang me . I didn't ring you.

So a wee battle ensued and although i refrained from telling them where to stick it in the royal Telstra hairy orifices as I would like to do but cannot in this politically correct and white flagged era - this doormat just goes on nibbling on the ankles of the giant who keeps flicking her off.

So - not even the mobile let alone the internet which is what I really use the most. And am in fact still paying for as I have been all these months. Not realising that it was as it is.

This morning I receive another phone call on my OPTUS mobile. I know its an outsider because I have the ring tones designed to know when its not one of my beloveds. It tinjles sweetly for my insiders and has a harsh galloping musical theme for OTHERS. This other was a young woman from Justine Elliott's office. Following up on my heated tirade of yesterday. Wish I had caught her name because she was astute and intelligent and understanding.

Well done Elliot's office at least for stage one response. She is going to Telstra Countrywide to see whats happening. We will see . We will see. Labor is in again and maybe we dont need to be as afraid as we have become over the last decade. Maybe they do care and can do something about the SMALL PEOPLE in Valleys. Maybe they know which century and which millemium we are in . She said they had had at least one other complaint - and was about to contact them after we had talked.

i really hope something gets done here and that we dont have to the polite and scathing dance of the 90s and early 2000s in which I at least always seem to end up like the woman dancing with Jack Nicholson in Batman on the roof of the building, Dancing with the Devil - the Devil always manages to outsmart me.

Wee Blossom Kirsty who was very nice and for whom i FEEL. was telling me - its not an easy job to fix the cables.
Not my problem Kirsty. They couldnt give a starting date let alone a finishing date.
