G'day brothers and sisters!

I would like to invite and encourage you to have your say on this blog.

The bible encourages us to sow into the spiritual needs of others in an effort to provide a way to salvation through Christ. This Christian astronomy forum is one of many ways to do that. There are plenty of non-christians among the scientific community who can still be reached. If only one comment here sows the mustard seed in only one soul and starts them on the path to salvation, then we have all been a part of that! How exciting is it!?

When I am in front of the Lord and He says "Congratulations, you made it, now who did you bring with you?", I would love to be able to stand up and point to at least one person! Wouldn't you?

Hi Bazz,

I quickly scanned some of your info on your sight. I like what you are doing to help bring an awhereness to many of our Creator and God.

I was a bit puzzled by 2 things I came across.

1. There is no Hell. I believe if there is no Hell then Christ died and was risen again in vain. I believe the Bible is God inspired, alive and has power. Many today water down the Word of God to suit them.

2. Tithing is old Testament and not for today. Although I am not a practicing tither of 10% of my gross income, I believe, those that give are blessed, through their faith in God as their provider.

I didn't bring this up to drive a wedge between us. I know that believers can help each other, by sharing experiences of our relationship with God through Jesus Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Hell and Tithing

Hell is a place that is not often talked about and should be. It it described in graphic detail in the bible as a place of horror, weeping and gnashing of teeth. We, as Christians like to talk about all the nice stuff and don't like to talk about hell because it is a very frightening concept.

I never tithed myself until I found myself defending someone who did. I said it was about being obedient to God. Then I thought......then why don't I do it? From then on I did. And I feel good! Money means nothing on this world. We sow into the future kingdom which is eternal. The short time we stay here is a proving ground for the rewards that await us with Christ in heaven.
