Feeble minded?

12:45 PM, 12/11/2007 .. 2 comments .. Link

I recently had a contact from a fellow astronomer, who thanked me for encouragement in Christianity whilst observing the cosmos. He mentioned that a lot of us Christians are percieved as "Feeble minded" among the scientific community.

If any of you have felt this, then may I offer you reassurement? It takes a measured degree of inner strength and courage to stand up and publicly profess your faith in Christ, especially in circles where the science of hard physical proof and evidence is the limit of a lot of participants.

Stand tall and say aloud, I am a believer! Show the world how strong you are by not denying your faith.

God bless you all!

Barry.

G'day brothers and sisters!

I would like to invite and encourage you to have your say on this blog.

The bible encourages us to sow into the spiritual needs of others in an effort to provide a way to salvation through Christ. This Christian astronomy forum is one of many ways to do that. There are plenty of non-christians among the scientific community who can still be reached. If only one comment here sows the mustard seed in only one soul and starts them on the path to salvation, then we have all been a part of that! How exciting is it!?

When I am in front of the Lord and He says "Congratulations, you made it, now who did you bring with you?", I would love to be able to stand up and point to at least one person! Wouldn't you?

Please spare a little time to contribute.

Bless you,

Barry.

This is a place to put forward thoughts on the perfection of all the Lord's creation you see around you. Not only in the heavens, but down here on earth.

e.g. The moons size in relation to it's distance to the sun. When it passes in front of the sun during an eclipse, it's disc covers the much larger sun's disk absolutely perfectly.

If you have found something in the bible that you think may point to astronomy specifically, leave a comment here with the book, chapter, verse and paragraph/s.

eg. Isaiah 40:26

Lift up your eyes on high,
      And see who has created these
things,
      Who brings out their host by number;
      He calls them all by name,
      By the greatness of His might
      And the strength of
His power;
      Not one is missing.

Pass on your own thoughts or questions.
