The 23-day journey covered almost 14,000 kilometres across mainland states in a dedicated LPG Falcon. The LPG Challenge returned to Melbourne on August 25 after spending only $997.55 on fuel by filling up solely on LPG. Whats cool about that, is the fact that LPG is becoming more mainstream with availabilty not too much of a problem. And $1000 for 14,000kms lets compare a Falcon and a Barina: 2006 Holden Barina 4 cylinder 1.6l Fuel consumption: AS 2877 and ADR 81/01, combined (l/100km): 6.9 Math: 6.9l x 140 = 966. 966 x $1.20 = $1159.2 This Falcon sounds good!
