My ship of birth transported me

On a wild and crazy sea

Of confusion and loss.

I was lost before I was born.

The destination tag

logded in my brain said:

"Set this one adrift"

And so I drifted.

Flotsam, like so many others

Of my generation.

It was no-one's fault.

It was the time.

It was the place.

It was a time and place

Of uncertainty.
