18/3/2007 - Getting into the Spirit of St Paddys Day

Why is it that when you get a full time job and are earning a significant amount of money (well at least double what you were surviving on while you were at uni) that your tolerance level for immature shit significantly decreases?

Dave and I were at the pub yesterday lunch time for a few social beverages and doing the crossword and discussing important shit when a bunch of first years stumbled into the bar. Now I did realise it was St Patrick's day and you know after spending a few years at uni you do do stupid shit on St Patrick's day, like start drinking at 8am in the morning and try as many biers that the local establishment has on special because centrelink week is next week and well you are actually spending your rent money this week.

But for some reason after loud obnoxious sounding singalongs and girls in short dresses on a 12 degree day (Dave didn't mind this

) my patience level had diminished significantly. Am I just getting old or do I simply just enjoy the simpler things in life? Its weird how life priorities change...But Happy Belated St Paddy's Day to Everyone anyway!
