Eric Jupp (January 7, 1922 - January 2, 2003) was a British-born
musician, composer, arranger and conductor who gained wide popularity
in Australia
after settling there in the 1960s, hosting a long-running light music
TV show and composing for film and TV. He is best remembered for his
theme music to the TV series Skippy the Bush Kangaroo.
This is a very good jazzy album from Jupp. There's some Aussie legends playing in Jupp's band including
composer John Sangster, George Golla who's a master jazz guitarist, Don
Burrows jazz legend on flute and last but not least Warren Daly on drums from
the Daly Wilson Big Band (which I'll post one day).
Sure they do some easy listening standards from the early seventies but this isn't another MFP generic product.
