Pieces of You

PIECES OF YOU
Sometimes
The words that others sing
Speak for me.
When my words are stilled
And the night is quiet
I listen and hear
The songs resonate
In the cavern of my heart.
So many things I wonder,
So many times to remember,
So many tears to shed,
Yet I know
The patterns of my life
Are spent.
The future is dim
And shrouded,
And time passes.
Yet these words
I must borrow,
Because pieces of you
Are still
Gleaming inside me.

I found the text hard to read on my monitor. I assume you chose this colour to compliment the meaning of the poem.
Wow!

Yes George, I did choose that colour because of the mood of the piece. Sorry it is so difficult to read!

Thank you for the lovely compliment Luna! I hope you keep trying to write your own poetry. Somehow, I still never think anything I write is so marvellous either!
