Bloggers Photo Challenge: I think its a great idea! (See end of article for details). Havent yet.. but was intending on visiting an exhibit (in Melbourne) entitled "Objectification". B/W photography showing celebrities who are asked to hold/show one object with them in the photo shoot that they think best represents themselves.
Tina's idea.. and what she has posted is fantastic. I'll see what I can find - it'll keep the doldrums at bay for a while. xox Dee
Photos by me
ANGELAJAMES - I came across a special photo opportunity this Aussie weekend. Have you Ever seen such a beautiful looking La Porechetta restaurant before! (As Kees correctly pointed out.. this is hardly representative of your multi-talents. Not sure if I feel that the task has been done properly, for all, to my satisfaction, but - well "La Porchetta" pic is staying!) LOL
KITTYCATGIRL 06 - For research purposes mind, I checked out this store quite thoroughly. Alas they are currently out of stock for 'blue' blankies. There were some blue movies, blue trailers, blue edible knickers, blue condoms,.....(plus more) Kitty&Paul - Ahh so many lines, so little time!
PETERMCC (CHICKEN SCRATCHINGS) - Now this was a complete fluke! I stopped before beginning a 'u-turn' on a country road, and what did I find right in front of me??!!....
SLIDING DOOR(S) (ME! DEENA) - Hey...I had no intention - but when you're on a roll and walk straight into it.... (Pretty much sums up the reason behind accepting the challenge doesn't it!)
SNOWY - What can I say? Its an obvious 'case' of a 'cool' and 'refreshing' blogger!
WIRELESS INTERNET!!! - I don't think I 'chose' the hotel - it chose me!!! Addicted blogger indeed....but the added spa bath helped too! (smiles)
Photos by me
CC1804 - A bird lover just one aspect, and obviously a lot 'more' to her indeed.
CHEZZATJ - when I think of Chezza - I think of ..... the Aussie Dunny!!! We just love to hear your 'rellie & the dunny' stories! "Here's to you, your family and the laughs!" (Hey finding another IUD pic to add to your collection was just way toooo hard! One day, one day Chezza LOL).
JD - Hey look JD... I can take pictures of trains too! (mmm... not quite as beautiful as your stunning train shots, but it's a beginner's start). (smiles) Dee
KEES (Its only words) & (The Clog Photoblog) - Well the Clog from Oz...when I think of you and your blog "Its only words" and your great new travel site "The Clog Photoblog".. I think of books, books and books! You must do a lot of reading whilst sunbathing because you're very well-red!
PINK & BLACK (KELL & RAVEN). Well this took a while to find. Pink & Black in the same picture... that actually showed some resemblence of these beautiful people... and couple!!! I ask you.. I nearly caused a traffic accident when I spied that fluorescent pink ribbon, dangling there so sweet. Threw on the brakes...and snapped this shot. The pretty pink beautiful ribbon of course is Kell... and the big black brute watching over her is Raven - even including the piercings! ha xox Dee
PLONKA - If you don't get 'back on your bike' ..it might end up here in this bike cemetery I found! Is that enough 'motivation/teasing' for you? Anytime pal, anytime. (smiles)
RAVEN (GOING OFF HALF SOCKED) - A local I found in a small town I was visiting. For real! I think I made his day by approaching him and asking if he'd do me the favour of being a photographic model for me! LOL
Pics not mine
CATDOG - "Utube" image - I was hunting around the Utube site - looking for a pic/image actually for a posting where I can simply post the URLs underneath, and this one I found reminded me immediately of talented your work! Love to see your creations, Cat!
JR One beautiful side to you. I know little (really) of JR but am enjoying getting to know her more and more. A very special person and part of this special sweet community. (Pic: Lady in blue).
KELL (EMPTYANGEL) - I think Im going to cheat a little, otherwise it may be next year before I get all my desired postings up. This good morning (originally animated gif) reminds me of Kell... it isnt an angel but it does have wings - full of special magic dust. Ive wasted too much time trying to hunt those 'elusive' photos... This one just feels soo right to me, I wish I'd posted it before and didn't listen to that voice that said 'but it's not a photo'. Sooo...while Im at it.. there is actually another I'd like to post. Say's 'best friend award', which I know she would be..... a good friend to those in need.
RINNY - I like this one for you, (B&W shot of young woman) and as you can see, I've foregone the chase for the photo find... so.. well dammit... Im going to post this one then! (Big smiles) Dee
RAVEN: Wikipedia def: Raven Bird of high intelligence, perhaps the smartest bird to be found. Smiles.
How do you see your fellow bloggers? What would you take photos of to represent them? And, on top of that, how do you see yourself through a photo?
Grab your cameras and start clicking...see what you can find - will be interesting to see how we all "see" each other just from whatwe writeon our blogs.
No time limit, and no pressure to take all pics at once for a single entry..just let us know when you have posted (put them in your own blogs)...
I think its fascinating to see how we portray ourselves to others, through our blogs. I'm amused to see that you capture certain aspects of me perfectly!
Well thanks, Dee, but definitely not me. Find one of an old man sitting in front of computer with smoke coming out of his ears, and you'll have me nailed. ;o)
These entries are so very interesting! jr has also made a great contribution to the 'photos/pictures that remind me of you' theme. I shall try my hand at it later on in the week. Muahahahahaha.
Glad you enjoyed guys. Thinks its bit of fun for us all. Another way to play at 'blogger bondage'...umm bonding, yeah bonding right.. (gosh Snowy I'll never get that right now for the rest of my days ha ha).
JD...ooohh I hope not all the time! I really DO love your train pics. They are stunning and hope you keep doing what you (and where no others can) do best! Big beamy smile!
Plonka, Im anticipating, no...expecting payback, thats for sure..but Ill be ready! As for the training, I know you're keeping us updated and I guess we 'should' believe you... but maybe a bit of proof is required at this stage to keep the faith - a little pic or two... maybe a sweaty lycra gloved leg draped over one side of the new modified bike??
Rinny - Im looking forward to it immensely. (Not sure if I'm comfortable with that devilish laugh you made whilst prancing off .... oooh - *shudder*). Thanks for the alert to JRs. Ive just popped my head over there - and again - More goosebumps!!!! Its all getting a bit freaky! Big big smiles to all.
(P.S...Im not finished with you guys yet tho... .*grins maniacally and taps fingertips together*)!!
I didn't realise that I had made it onto this page. An out door dunny very appropriate. I spent 18 years trudging the 20m to the outdoor dunny at my family farm. Was okay during the day but not so nice at night. I would always ever so slowly creep towards the dunny with torch in hand, waiting for a prisoner from the local gaol to get me (they were always escaping), then once I had finished my business so to speak, I would fling open the door and run all the way down the path and into the house before he got me. I have just remembered another story and another. But don't want to bore you all with my trips to the dunny. Anyway whenever we visit we still have to make the pilgrimage to the outdoor dunny at all times of night and day - it is a septic system though!
I just remembered the time hubby met a 3 foot goanna in an out door dunny, OMG the stories are never ending........
First I laughed, and laughed, and laughed. Then I went off to get a drink (of water guys; with a lemon wedge in fact.. hey check the time!!!). Then I stopped to think some...... yep... thinkin thinkin thinkin...
coming up with an idea.....
squinting hard...looking funny like...(yep, you could actually see the wheels turning around ..it was very painful... then.. thought of another idea.. maybe should post a squinty face.. for the representative photo for Catdog..!! Watching the wheels...'go around' !!! LOL)..
but that wasnt the big idea... (got sidetracked again)...
Ok.. the idea I was thinking - was - why don't you write a book! You know those short, short stories, everyone loves to read from time to time. The kind one loves as a travelling companion on a train, plane, automobile!
Real-life Aussie Dunny Stories! The fact that they were real would make them even more divine!
I would love them.. I would buy 'that' book.
I'd buy it and give it as a present for chrissy.
I reckon all aussies would love it.
I reckon it would sell like hot cakes over Australia Day Weekend(s).
They'd be sold at all those little country towns.
All the tourist shops.
I reckon you'd make squillions!
I reckon the tourists to our country would love it.
I reckon they would buy em as pressies for 'their' rellies back home.
So what do you 'reckon'?
Hey..hey?? You going to? Are ya, are ya?!!!!!
I don't think that I am that much of a talented writer to do such a thing.
I can see how your idea could work. But I don't think I am up to the job. Interesting idea though. Hmmmm I am thinking, yes maybe, I guess I could start a collection and see where I end up I suppose. Okay I am thinking about it :-)
Um not sure about book one yet Dee????? So Book Two is a huge streeetch. You do realise I am serious about my IUD collection don't you - I am seriously starting a collection :-P
No I seriously am. You wait and see, it will happen.
Chezza<:-)
The crazy dunny sitting, IUD collecting freak! But I am very sane in my own crazy way.
There was a book around over twenty years ago by that name which consisted of pictures of dunnies from all over Australia. I don't think it had dunny stories. Just pictures. That was enough...
Thanks Deena, this is a great idea! Me amongst stacks of books is quite the right picture, although it's of course more than that. The idea of trying to visualise the image we have of someone through a photo is very challenging, but I think I would need a lot of time to get the complete picture. Just one note: when I think of Angela, I definitely think of more than just churches.
I agree, it's kinda hard to sum up a person in 'one' picture alone - we can only grasp a small aspect of our multifacetted personalities. I kinda like the "La Porchetta/Church" pic though. Thats a 'stayer'. But you're right, as I had my own little niggly doubt over this. Think it does need to be resubmitted to editing, boss. I must add that I was very impressed and appreciated JR's representative picture she posted for me (which was one pic...so well done JR, I loved it. Thanks) & Kees for your comment and feedback. (smiles) Dee
Awwww thx I'm glad you liked it. Not a prob.. you're welcome to it; it would be a good avatar for your blog wouldn't it..ha ha.(big smiles). Guess we just have to work out now how I'm going to get it to you. Plonka did his job well didn't he (and we're all greatful!! xox).. ha ha.
Ok..well being half of the help-desk support team... I should be able to think of something. Ok - how about this. I will try and change my template to include "my photo album" link, and upload the pic there.
Try that. I've changed my right side column to include
"My Filing Cabinet".... you will find the pic there. You can double-click on the pic first, to enlarge it, then do the right click, save-as thingy.
And Plonka - you really are a bloody legend LOL. D
(P.S. Hope you're also proud of my clever little problem solving solution above, there, boss..... smiles)
The pics represent 'some of us' and 'part of us'.... but we know - that they don't represent ....'the sum of us'... that 'specialness'. But we 'do' see it!
