12/8/2008 - AJ is in business
...well almost.
Like thousands of women in Australia and possibly millions world wide, I've jumped on the band wagon with those bead-charm bracelets (aka Pandora, Biagi, Lovelinks, etc). I've also moved into selling compatible beads. At the moment I only have glass ones, and some pewter-alloy gemstone ones, but I will get more. I am a hop, skip and a jump away from setting up my eBay shop (read I need to sort out packaging), but if any one is interested, send me an email or PM and we can sort something out.

Get into it guys!

On a personal note, I will add that I hate Mo's but if it's for Prostate Cancer and Depression I'd freely wax the backside of every guy I know (actually some of them should do that anyway). You don't need to know some one doing it to donate, but if it's no too late to register, go for it guys!

18/6/2007 - Maybe on TV
Credit where credit is due, a month or so ago I heard a report on Today Tonight about a Telstra call centre employee committing suicide. So I wrote to them and said I completely understand and that I had been diciplined by my former employer because I had logged into my phone a couple of minutes early or late each day, leading me to be over an hour late in a month and an hour was a lot of time. Normally I hate that show and make issues out of perfectly normal things, but for once they hit the nail on the head.
Yet another Telstra employee has committed suicide and I was called to be interviewed for the story, which I agreed to but fortunatly did not have to mention my employers name (hey I got promoted, still need references and wouldn't mind consulting for them, but the work environment leaves lots to be desired).
I was asked to be interviewed today, which is a bit inconvenient as I kind of had a big weekend, slept in and didn't do as much grooming as usual. In fact I almost didn't bother with the make up. But the interview was quite good, I don't think I said anything I'll regret although they did harp on about timed toilet breaks and the like quite a bit. They did however get some shots afterwards of me walking arround and reading the paper, which felt a bit corny. And I hope they leave them out as body shots are not going to be the most flattering things as far as I'm concerned... oh well. |

1/11/2006 - Shameless Plug
As you all know I shamelessly plug my buddies blogs online, last week I started another one to replace The General's awards as no one was nominating.
It's a journal of me learning about Opera. I've never learned about music before, beside my Grade One piano (now defunct as I haven't touched a keyboard for close to 15 years). I've attended a few Operas and want to know more about the music.
A bit specialised I know, but may be of interest to some.
