Ten axioms for saving Earth

Posted at 7:51 AM on 15/3/2007
Dear Editor,

A ten point summary of what I have learned from 15 years following the global warming debate:

1. Listen carefully to big coal and oil. Don't believe a word.

2. Get V2G right. The rest will fall into place.

3. Advanced batteries will spread like wildfire once big oil loses control. Fan the flames.

4. 100% renewable energy is like climbing Uluru. The hard yards come first.

5. Global warming, is a ball rolling down Uluru.

6. Ethanol and nuclear are flawed solutions. They have enough proponents.

7. "Clean coal" is like watered down spirit to an alcoholic. He will drink more.

8. A battery is more than an electric fuel tank, it is a regenerative energy storage system. This terrifies big oil.

9. Coal is the enemy of the human race.

10. Kyoto is peace.
